The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Malay: Kementerian Sains, Teknologi Dan Inovasi) is a ministry which established under the Malaysian government, and led by the incumbent Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation. Its headquarters is in Putrajaya.

MOSTI responsible to lead the National ICT Development function, Multimedia and Innovation. In 2007, the science and technology function was divided into Biotechnology, ICT, Industry, Sea to Space and S&T Services clusters.

The objective behind the creation of the ministry is to improve competitiveness in the fields of science and technology through the generation of knowledge and sustainable development.


Discovering, developing and utilising STI for knowledge generation, wealth creation and societal well being towards achieving a high income advanced economy that is competitive, sustainable and inclusive.
